Nursery

.

Our Early Years curriculum is built around the belief that every child is a unique learner. We focus on developing confident, independent and inquisitive children through a balance of play, exploration and high-quality teaching. The curriculum follows the EYFS framework and is structured around three core areas of learning: Communication and Language, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, and Physical Development, alongside the four specific areas of Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts and Design.

Across all areas, staff create a rich, stimulating environment where children can follow their curiosity, solve problems, and build the essential skills they need for later learning. Children learn through a mix of child-initiated play and adult-led activities, supported by strong relationships and clear routines.

We place a strong emphasis on early language, vocabulary development, self-regulation, physical skills, early reading, phonics, number understanding and hands-on exploration of the natural and wider world. Progress is closely monitored through observation, assessment and regular review, ensuring every child is supported to thrive.

Our aim is to nurture happy, resilient learners who are ready for the next stage of their education and equipped with the foundations for lifelong learning.
